Longtime ARSC member Gerry Gibson passed away in November 2025.

Amongst his many accomplishments, Gerry was president of ARSC from 1975-1979 and a Member-at-Large from 1995-1997. In the 1970's he served as editor of the ARSC Journal and Chair of the Publications Committee. He was a founding member of ARSC’s Associated Audio Archives Committee and led that committee from 1979–1990. He also served as a longtime member of the Research Grants Committee. In 2007, Gerry received ARSC's Award for Distinguished Service to Historical Recordings.
